What are some good makeup tips?
It can be any tips. Tips for eyes, tips for Natural Beauty, tips for applying makeup, tips on removing it, anything. Im just looking for some new makeup ideas. Please dont say just look at youtube. If you know of anything on youtube just give the link. If it helps, I have pale skin, blueish green eyes (but more blue), and light brown hair.
Here are some tips:
Don’t wear too much makeup. Less is always more. A lot of people make this mistake.
Eye tips: Don’t wear too much eyeshadow and eyeliner. Just just a bit of shadow or liner to enhance and open up your eyes.
Natural beauty: use makeup to enhance your natural beauty- don’t hide it. For example, if there are only certain areas on your face you need to conceal, just use a dab of concealer to conceal that instead of using a full coverage foundation. Or just a liner to bring out our eyes instead of loading on a ton of shadow.
Applying makeup: It’s important to use a light hand- you can always go back and add more shadow, liner, blush, powder etc afterwards if you feel like you need it. This is especially true when you have really pigmented makeup. With blush you don’t want to look like a clown, so really use a light hand at first.
Removing makeup: I would recommend using L’oreal’s skin genesis make up remover to remove all of your face makeup. It really does a good job. Benefit’s “gee… that was quick” is good too. Make sure you keep something like that handy in case you mess up on your liner or shadow. You can always find a drugstore alternative that is cheaper. Just make sure it’s oil free or else you will have to clean off the oily residue. Always keep q tips handy as well. They’re good for removing makeup and blending as well.
I think a very light pink blush shade would look good on you. I recommend MAC’s “well dressed” blush. You can always go to the store and get somebody to try it on you first, then decide if you want it. It’s a really light pink that gives a color.
Highlighting is a good idea too. You could use Physician’s formula’s mood boosting power in translucent. Just brush it along your cheek bones and down your nose. It will give you a nose glow.
A good pencil liner is urban decay’s 24/7. It’s waterproof and comes in a lot of colors. You can play around with them at the store.
You could also try coral lips. They’re big this spring. Since it’s a trend, you can get a coral lipstick at the drugstore and see if you like it first. If it’s something too bold of you and you’re uncomfortable with it, you can always tone it down with a baby pink lipgloss or a nude lipgloss and maybe slowly work your way through.
